This incredibly detailed two-figure sculpture is alive with passion, pathos and gallows humor!
The Danse Macabre tradition has spanned the centuries with rich ,vivid , sometimes amusing macabre imagery most famously during the Black Plague. The artwork often came in the form of social satire with humor added ... carrying on in the technical tradition of past masters, Thomas Kuntz re-energizes the genre with this visceral addition about "love,lust and affairs of the heart" ...a treasure for collectors of the unusual and the macabre.
It also features a secret stash compartment in the base below!
These figurines are hand-made in the California, USA at the Artist's workshop under strict supervision. The casting and workmanship are first class... a special casting system allows for a level of quality others cannot achieve as a result of 30
years of professional experience as a full-time artist. Each figure comes with an embossed numbered and artist signed certificate of authenticity. The certificate example in the photo shows "#1" but of course each figure will have the number in the sequence sold.
